Autumn – aka ‘the time of year all the gift sets start appearing in the shops’. Yes, I know they’re meant for Christmas giving – but a) that is a fair way off and b) I want them for myself.
Greedy? Not at all. I just have a healthy appreciation for a well crafted gift set.
Who am I kidding. Give me all of them, right now, please. Thank you.
My beauty gifts wishlist could also double as a Christmas beauty gift suggestions blog post, if you’re so inclined. Either way, I think all these products look / sound wonderful, and I’d be really pleased to give (or receive) them.
L’Occitane – Nutcracker Collection £24.00*
L’Occitane gift sets are always good. I usually pick up the shea butter hand cream and almond products around Christmas time, so this set is perfect for me as it contains the best of them both, in good travel sizes. The set is a collaboration between L’Occitane and The Royal Ballet, housed in a Nutcracker inspired box and includes: Almond Shower Oil; Almond Supple Skin Oil; Almond Delicious Soap (which smells amazing); Ultra Rich Shower Cream and Body Lotion, and a small Shea Light Comforting Cream.
This Works – With Sleep Comes Beauty heroes set £45.00
I’ve previously posted a review of This Works – In Transit Camera Close Up and mentioned on Twitter how much I love the new Sleep Plus Pillow Spray (This Works’ new version of their Deep Sleep Pillow Spray), so this set – which also includes their In Transit Turbo Balm – is near the top of my wishlist for any time of year. Hydration for the face, a good lip (or ‘anywhere’) balm and a ‘lull you to sleep’ spray – tick, tick, tick.
Radical Skincare – Radical Start set £65.00
I love Radical Skincare’s products. I swear by the Age Defying Exfoliating Pads, love the Hydrating Cleanser and can attest to the transformative power that the Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum has on the skin – as you can see in my Radical Skincare review . It isn’t a cheap line of products, so this set is a good way of trying some of their ‘hero’ items, without shelling out the full cost. The Radical Start kit includes the serum and exfoliating pads I previously mentioned, but also you get a mini Eye Revive Cream and Anti-ageing Restorative Moisturiser. Enough there to give the products a good trial before buying the full sizes (and you will, I’m sure of it).
Hourglass – Ambient Lighting Palette £56.00
Oh hello, beautiful. Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders have been in favour for a while now, well known for their subtle but powerful coverage. The trio in this palette contains the new limited edition Incandescent Light powder which is an on-trend pearly powder that would work really well for strobing. The other two shades – Dim Light (neutral peachy beige for blurring imperfections) and Radiant Light (sunny golden beige to warm up the complexion) – are both already cult favourites. This is certainly covetable, but is it worth holding out for a UK release of the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit? Maybe.
It’s worth noting that Space NK have £15.00 off a £60.00 spend using the discount code EXPLORE15 until 15/15/2015 (and they sell this palette!).
Atelier Cologne – Vanille Insensée Introductory Gift Set
This Vanilla fragrance is full of amber, coriander, jasmine, vetiver and lime. It is incredibly addictive, and I still love it as much as I did when I wrote this review of two Atelier Cologne fragrances a few years ago. This gift set that I spotted in Harvey Nichols Leeds, has a cologne, soap and leather travel pouch. It looks very chic and smells divine.
Which of these is your favourite? Or have you already got your own wishlist?
