I’ve been trying the Milk_Shake Whipped Cream* conditioner lately and fallen hard for it. If you, like me, have dry, damaged and coloured hair, then you need to give this a try.
*(Milk_Shake kindly sent me a sample product to review).
The Whipped Cream is actually a mousse textured leave-in conditioner. It has a sweet smell, reminiscent of freshly made creamy fudge, which is always going to be a winner as it leaves hair smelling delicious.
Because it’s a foam, the product is really easy to distribute through thick (okay – tangled and messy) hair, and it feels like a little goes a really long way.
It leaves my hair soft and really shiny, although I do find if it can be a little heavy on the root area, so it’s best to concentrate it on the lengths and ends. The Whipped Cream does contain silicone, and it is listed in its ingredients before any oils or conditioning agents, but surprisingly I don’t feel like it’s too silicone-heavy like a lot of high street leave-in conditioners.
The addition of the highly anti-oxidant Integrity41 – Milk_Shake’s signature ingredient of sunflower seed extract and milk protein is most likely the thing that sets this product apart from the pack.
The Whipped Cream leave-in foam is available in a handy mini 50ml size for £6.39 – as I mentioned, a little of this goes a long way. I’ve used my mini size about 5 times so far, and it still feels like there’s quite a bit left in the bottle. If you want to plump for the standard size, it’ll set you back £15.29 from http://www.milkshakehaircare.co.uk
I also tried a sachet of their Colour Maintainer shampoo and conditioner, but I can’t really review this I’m afraid – the tiny sample was no match for my long and thick hair!
