Neal’s Yard – Rose & Geranium Organic Body Collection

I’m so excited about this fact.  Sun shining, blossom on the trees, no rain for what, a week now? This is way overdue, isn’t it?

This time of year always makes me want to bust out the florals. Floral clothes, floral accessories, floral bath and shower products.  Ta-dah: I present Neal’s Yard – Rose & Geranium Organic Body Collection*.

Neal’s Yard – Rose & Geranium Organic Body Collection

Well, doesn’t that look darling?  Neal’s Yard packaging just looks lovely. Those blue bottles that help keep the essential oils all fresh and dandy, with their candy coloured labels. It ticks all the boxes for me.  I really liked the gift bag too – and am still trying to think of inventive ways to reuse it, along with the floral tissue paper you can see the products stood on.

I’ve been using Neal’s Yard hand lotions and creams forever. But I was yet to try a bath/body product from their range.  This was kindly given to me at a Blogger event at the end of last year, and I hate to admit, it took me til February to try it out (I’m still working through my ridiculous Laura Mercier bath and body stash…it’s like it multiplies by itself).

The shower gel is my favourite of the two products.  Rose scent – tick. Geranium scent – tick.  Ylang Ylang scent – tick (you see where I’m going with this, yeah?).  Basically, it’s a gentle and nurturing shower gel that also does a good job as a cheeky bath foam. The scent is pure, floral and uplifting. It leaves skin feeling soft, and the scent lingers nicely, but not in an obtrusive way. The best part? A little goes a long way!

The body lotion has the same scent, and is as you may expect, a light lotion. It’s easily absorbed – I wouldn’t say this has the mega moisturising power of for example, the Nuxe body lotion, but it does the job on those dry shins and upper arms. I’ve been keeping this little bottle in my handbag as a treat to use during the day if I feel a bit ‘meh’.

Will I repurchase?  The shower gel – definitely. The body lotion – I would if it were part of a set, as I loved the fragrance, but my dry skin needs a really rich product right now, so I wouldn’t run out to get it.
That said, I’m now utterly sold on Neal’s Yard bath and body products. Plus, I also have been using the Wild Rose Beauty Balm that I bought – that is amazing, and I’ll review soon!

While I’m on the subject of Neal’s Yard,  I also thought I’d mention that your local store may well have treatment rooms for facials, massages and other lovely stuff. This was a surprise to me when I learned the Leeds store had this facility, and they’re not too expensive either. I’m looking forward to having a treat there over the Spring.

Have you tried any Neal’s Yard products? What did you think?

*The Rose and Geranium Organic Body Collection was gifted to me by Neals Yard, Leeds, at a blogger event. The review is my own, unbiased opinion on the product.

The gift set is actually now on offer at £14 (30% off at time of writing) – you can buy direct from the Neal’s Yard website here. (Not an affiliate link).

I love the packaging it's gorgeous, I always find that overly fragranced products don't nourish dry skin enough, and would probably opt for another product like you xxx

I think you're onto something there, Jess! Never crossed my mind before, but all of my favourite body butters/creams etc don't have strong fragrances really. Who knew!!
