Spring skin perfecting – ESPA tinted moisturiser

Spring calls for easy makeup, less coverage and those looks you can just fling on in minutes, hopefully without even needing to use brushes!  Those days when the sun is shining and you just want a light base that is perfecting but not full coverage, are the times we usually reach for a BB or CC cream or a tinted moisturiser.   There’s plenty of these on the market to choose from, but ESPA have upped the stakes a bit with their latest release, their Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser.*

ESPA sent me two shades of the tinted moisturiser to try out: 01 Nude and 02 Blush. I’m a typically English Rose complexion: porcelain pale skin, rosy cheeks and lips, so the Blush shade was far too dark for me (I’m sure one of my friends will love it though). The Nude shade was still a tad dark, but as it’s a tinted moisturiser it blends seemlessly and the result is lovely.

A pea size amount of the product covers my whole face. It leaves a sheer perfected look, you know ‘my skin but better’, that no-makeup makeup look that is always a winner in the warmer months. Freckles are still visible (which I actually really love), but on the other hand, so are blemishes – but they are easily covered with a dab of concealer.  I felt the result was really lovely – a very natural finish, slightly dewy – if I were going out-out (you know what I mean), I would powder the t-zone to minimise shine. I like it with the Chanel Les Beiges Belle Mine powder in 010, but that is my ‘holy grail’ powder.

For me, the ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser lives up to it’s name – and it’s definitely a product I would purchase. It’s got longevity on the skin, and wears really well. I could use it without a normal moisturiser underneath, as it works well over the top of ESPAs Pro Serum.
All in all, I was really impressed with this release. It’s sure to become a Spring and Summer ‘must have’.

What do you think? Would you swap your usual foundation for a light coverage base like this?
Have you tried this product, or something similar – feel free to share in the comments…

I go for a BB cream or tinted moisturiser at most on any given day over foundation (I'm make up lazy!), and I've loved every product I've tried from Espa so I can imagine this is wonderful! x
