This Works are, from my experience, a pretty dependable brand. Clue is in their name isn’t it really, but their stuff does just seem to work. With this in mind, I couldn’t resist buying Camera Close-Up from their In Transit line…
This Works ‘in transit’, is a line of products designed mainly with travel in mind – think multi-taskers and flight carry-on friendly. But their use is definitely not confined to planes and hotels.
|This Works (yes it does!) In Transit – Camera Close Up – mask, moisturiser and primer|
Camera Close-Up is a three in one: moisturiser, mask and primer.
As a moisturiser, it’s effective for normal to dry skin – very hydrating and revitalising, thanks to the inclusion of Argan and Starflower oils, plus a dose of caffeine. It even seems to have the ability to hide fine lines (albeit temporarily).
As a ‘mask’ (although, I would never wash this off) it has plumping benefits, down to the hyaluronic acid content.
As a primer – this is the winner for me – it leaves skin with a temporary and slight ‘tackiness’ and dewy finish which holds foundation like glue. It doesn’t seem to budge, even around pesky oily areas (nose – I’m talking about you), and in dry patches (yeah chin, you too). Oh, and you can use it in the eye area too. Bonus.
I really have nothing bad to say about this. Some people may find the texture a little odd. Go with it, you’ll get used to it, and hopefully love it as much as I do.
|Close up. Geddit? (I know, I know).|
I haven’t replaced my everyday moisturiser with this because This Works Camera Close-Up performs so well as a primer, I save it for when I know I’ve got a long day ahead of me. That being said, when travelling next, this will be my moisturiser, hydrating mask, primer and eye cream in one. Happy days.
One of my ‘must have’ products of the Summer.
This Works – In Transit camera close up retails at £30.00 for 40ml and is available from the This Works website here. I’ve seen it stocked at Boots and Space NK also.
