Footasylum Women’s

Footasylum have just opened up their very first standalone women’s store, right here in Leeds.

Straight up, I can tell you that I didn’t think I wanted a ‘women’s’ trainers shop until I went into this one.

They’ve done a great job of blending the perfect levels of cute, fun and street style.  Yep, there’s sprinkles. Pink.  Glitterball cups (what, you don’t own one? I think you should)… alongside a big range of fashion and sports trainers – I’m loving the Puma platform Mono trainers in Olive , and their Basket Heart trainers too, with the holographic detail that is singing to me, and reminding me of Fashionicide’s amazing style – how good would they look with this nail look?

There’s clothes too, some cute tops from Daisy Street caught my eye, but sadly they don’t stock any of the plus size ranges. I hope they get on that in the future.

It’s a nice departure from the typically boring ‘sports fashion’ stores, and is actually a place I want to go to buy trainers.  In the past, I’ve pretty much done that exclusively online, so it’s going to be lovely to pop into Leeds and visit FootAsylum Women’s with some friends and satisfy a little desire for some gorgeous new footwear.

Speaking of new footwear… the lovely team at Footasylum gifted me a pair of Adidas Gazelles in vapour pink and white (aka the trainers of my dreams).  I’ve worn them a few times already and having delicious flashbacks to the mid-90’s when I had a pair of Gazelles that never seemed to leave my feet.  They’re so gorgeous and summery.

Footasylum Women’s is now open in Leeds, on Land’s Lane (near to HMV).
